Email push is an add-on tool or application that rests in your PC’s memory and keeps checking your incoming messages internally, and instantly updates your inbox with the incoming message without requiring you to extract it manually. It pops-up an alert message from the corner of your screen to humbly notify you of the incoming email with its subject line and brief so that to enable you decide if you should look at it immediately.
Generally whenever an email is sent to your email ID, it arrives at your ISP’s (Internet Service Provider) mail server and stored there for your retrieval. If you are using a web-based email ID then it will be stored in your website server. In both the cases, the email lies in the mail server until you manually check your email client and receive it manually by clicking on ‘receive email’, ‘check mail’ or ‘inbox’ button. The Email push utility spares you from repeatedly checking your email account and automatically pushes the new emails in your inbox, without any manual intervention.
There are some popular Push technologies like HTTP server push, Java pushlet, Long polling, Ajax, XMPP, etc. Email push utility is simulated with almost every desktop email clients and even web based applications like WebMail. This requires the application to be up and running which works between client software and mail server. A slower system, or a busy mail server may delay the download process. Sometimes the delay extends and results into time out.
Expert advice to get over time out problem is, not to set your email polling so rapidly that it may result into time out errors. You can do this by increasing the interval between two polls. Sometimes delay of a minute or two between Pull and Push schemes does not matter much but sometimes they do count a lot, though. Push Email scheme is generally used in businesses where time is a critical matter like in share market, forex or for field reporters who can not afford any delay.
Push email utility was first introduced in PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) by BlackBerry and had gained instant popularity in the market. This is used in many a devices now and has grown in popularity. Push email can be used on mobile phones via simple Mail2Web Mobile Email setup.

Google should ahve bought twitter when they had the chance. Instead they slept on it otherwise we would today have a spam-free and fast twitter.com
This is a really informative post. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I bet there are at least several companies who really wish right now they’d bought Twitter back when it would have been inexpensive to do so.
