Today is Google’s day
Finally Chrome extensions are ready to use. Chrome may just be able to catch up to Firefox now. They are not officially released but third party sites like www.chromextensions.org allow you to upload and use some useful extensions. I really liked “Aviary Screen Capture” and “Chrome Reader”.

Do you want to see the new look of Google?? You can take a look using your IE and Firefox browsers currently. I tried using ChromePlus but it didn’t seem to work. Please, keep me updated with your experiences.
Firstly go to your browser and type www.google.com. Your last visited address should be Google. Then carefully copy and paste this command to your browser’s address line (replacing everything including http://www.google.com).
javascript:void(document.cookie=”PREF=ID=20b6e4c2f44943bb:U=4bf292d46faad806:TM=1249677602:LM=1257919388:S=odm0Ys-53ZueXfZG;path=/; domain=.google.com”);
Press “Enter” and be the one of the first participants of Google’s latest prototype testers. Test the new logo, buttons and left menu bar yourself! Read the rest of this entry »

Blobo squeezable game controller is roughly the size of a ping-pong ball. It contains a motion and pressure sensor and could be connected to your PC or cell phone via Bluetooth. You can consider it in the vein of a Wii controller as it works with same logic. The game controller comes with its own games, mostly sporty. You can run, jump, dribble, karate chop or be an archer. For a better idea of what you can do, watch this video about Blobo. Device and games cost €54.90 ($80).

Elecom’s new mouse series is tiny and cute. It’s really “Like a Spoon” since it looks like a mouse with no eyes. Soft coating effects on top and stainless steel rim rounding the edges makes this 2.4 GHz mouse flashy. It’s very comfortable to use and connects to your computer via a tiny USB knot. It is only 65.7×88.3×40.2mm in size and weighs in at 115g, powered by a single AAA battery. It’s available for ¥ 8000, about $90, in Japan but we do not yet have details on US and Canada delivery.

The Thecus N0204 is the smallest NAS (Network Attached Server) ever. It’s the size of a USB hard drive. N0204 is small but comes with RAID 0, 1 and JBOD support. It consumes 25-30% of a regular two-bay NAS device, which means you save both your pocket book and environment at the same time. Read the rest of this entry »
