Kaspersky is a name you may not have heard before, but that isn’t because their security software is lacking. They’re the biggest Russian manufacturer of anti-virus software and their products have a worldwide following. The company offers excellent performance standards and a product that offers tight protection for PCs. The software doesn’t have parental controls on it, but users who don’t need them will find everything else there.
Kaspersky uses a firewall system that looks for the common signs that malware is attempting to connect with a server. This makes the firewall sometimes overly-tight, but most users prefer that their security software tends towards being restrictive, and Kaspersky comes through on that. The security software is quick to report anything suspicious, keeping you on top of what’s going on with your PC.
The Kaspersky security software suite also includes spam protection for your email box. The software has features that also make it easier on system resources. When you scan your computer, Kaspersky skips the files that haven’t been changed since the last scan. This can cut back on the time it takes to scan your computer in full a great deal.
Kaspersky Internet security offerings are powerful, easy on resources and very effective. The firewall feature is a nice addition and the fact that it keeps an eye out for malware trying to exploit your system is a real bonus. This software is also setup to block threats from viruses that haven’t even been reported yet, making it effective at preventing attacks on the first day a virus is on the net.
