FTP the best for uploading?

Is FTP your best betg for uploading files onto a web host, or is there something else you prefer?

I think FTP is the best and easiest way to get files uploaded to your web hosting account. The other option is using the File Manager, but File Manager does not keep track of which files were uploaded and which were in queue in case you lose the net connection.
