has anyone here been involved in the occupy wall street protests? do you think they're coming to an end, or could they last through the winter?

I couldn't get involved in any protests: I don't like tents or pepper spray! It seems like cities are clearing out the camps now, so maybe the protesters will move on to a new phase.
