    Default jurors and social media

Social media is so out of control even some jurors have been doing it lately...during trials! One guy went to jail for Facebook friending the defendant. In other cases, entire trials have been thrown out due to jurors tweeting.

    Default

It's unbelievable that people would do that. But why wouldn't the court just confiscate the jury's phones and tablets and such before the start of a trial?

    Default Need regulations

The jurors must act sensibly and understand that social media platforms are not meant for letting the world know about the confidential things related to one's personal life or professional matters. The fact that there are no regulations for using these platforms doesn't mean that one cannot draw a line between what is right and wrong. It's really sad to know this.
