Default Internet info without search warrants

A U.S. District Court judge ruled last week that the government is allowed to get info about your Internet use without a search warrant. This is such a contentious issue though that I'm sure it will reach the Supreme Court.

I guess there are emergency situations where this would be necessary. Still, it seems like people have as much private info stored in their Internet histories as they do in their homes now, and you can't search a home without a warrant.

I think it'll go to the Supreme Court, too. I have a feeling the Internet and smartphones have antiquated so many existing laws, and all kinds of new laws may be needed.
