TV for dogs

There's a new cable station debuting just for dogs. The idea is you turn it on when you're not home and your dog can watch images of other dogs and not feel lonely. But I'd heard once that dogs can't process images on TV: they just see a blur when they look at a TV screen. Maybe that's just a myth.

The sounds of the TV might be comforting to a dog for a while. Still, I don't think a dog would look at a TV as a real companion.
