Alternate From: field
Hi,
I am a little confused - I can have multiple alternate addresses (after all, this is supposed to be the "aggregator" of all my email), but how do I choose the From: field when composing a message? I don't want just the default address, I need to be able to choose what is shown in the From field for my recipients (work address/personal address)
Also, I found that regardless of which address the email was sent to, when replying, my message is always sent from my default address...
This very much negates the idea of alternate addresses, why do we confirm them if we can't send as such?
Or maybe I am missing an obvious setting?
Thanks!

Hello Art,
I assume you are referring to your mail2web Mobile Email account? I've moved this thread to the appropriate section.
After you have added in multiple "Alternate Email Addresses", you can then change the "Primary From Address" for your account. If you log into the OWA and click on "My Email Settings", you'll see a "Primary From Address" section. Click on "Edit", and you can change it to any of the Alternate Email Addresses you've defined.
But in order to do it this way, you have to change your setting every time you want to send from one of the different email addresses. I would recommend picking your favorite one and just sticking with that one.
Hope this helps!

Hi Tim,
Thank you for your reply,
Unfortunately, this is not a usable solution for me, as I wanted to aggregate both my personal and work emails into one exchange account and sync OTA.
Thanks!

sorry to resurrect an old thread
The ability to choose the from address quickly when composing mail, whether through the webmail interface or mobile device interface would be crucial for most people exploring your service. Is there a way we can do this? Thanks
