BlackBerry email delays

I've been reading that BlackBerry customers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East have been experiencing email delays and other communication issues. Could this problem spread? Any ideas about what's causing this?

I don't know anyone's who's experienced this problem and haven't heard anything more recently, so hopefully this issue is passed. Email delays are annoying, and of course they can even cause you to miss out on important business info.
