    Default new Facebook friend designations

    For the first time, we'll be able to divide our friends into "close friends" and "acquaintances." We'll get fewer updates from out acquaintances.

    It could get awkward if I label someone an "acquaintance" and they label me a "close friend," or vice versa!

    Yeah, I think this could make Facebook a little too cliquish.
