no video calls for Nokia?

The new Lumia phones from Nokia won't have front-facing cameras, apparently. This means you won't be able to make video calls. Is this a major omission, or is Nokia onto something in predicting people don't really care about video calls?

My guess is that video calls will be on their way to Nokia phones soon enough. Still, I don't mind doing without video calls. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I feel they can be an annoyance at times.
