Outlook keeps prompting for password, help!
I have a Pro account and I have downloaded Outlook and setup my account. It has worked fine up until this week.
When I open outlook, I get a login box to login to the server. I do so, and my e-mail loads normally. My problem is, after I am using Outlook for a few minutes, I get another login box, and where the server name usually is (MBX82.ad2.softcom.biz), it just says "logging into mail2web.com." My email address is in the username field, and when I type my password, the box disappears for a second, and then reappears, as if my password was invalid. I can type my password several more times, and each time it disappears, and then re-appears a second later. If I press ESC or cancel on the box, it disappears for a while, and then will come back later on. It doesn't seem to affect the actual usage of Outlook or my email, but this has become very annoying, any suggestions?
p.s. this box is different than the one I get when I open Outlook because it has a box to check to save password, but checking this box does not make it stay away after I type my password.

Problems
Hello,
i do have the same Problems since Thursday evening. When i want to download e-mails via Outlook 2007 the loginbox (username and password) will be there again and again. Thursday morning and the weeks before it worked very well.
I hope you'll find a solution. I didn't change any preferences.
Greetings from Germany

Are you using any add-ons or plugins for Outlook that may be prompting you to authenticate? For example I used to use X1 search and it did this from time to time when my password was changed.

@ markus.klann: You have Mobile Email option with SMTP which doesn't support MAPI so you have an IMAP or pop3 connection (which requires re-entering login details everytime they hit send/receive unless you opt to save them).
@ryknoll3: I guess you are using Pro plan, so you are using MAPI to connect and this issue shouldn't be happening unless your Outlook profile is malconfigured or corrupt, else there could be network conflicts on your
internal network.
We recommend you to create a new Outlook mail profile setting up only exchange with no customizations to see if the issue recurs. Then add customizations back as necessary. Besides if you are inside of a corporate environment you may want to check with their IT department to see if any network security changes have been made at either the local or domain level.

Hello,
i use a standard-pop3-Account to get/send my e-mails. When i make a "X" into the checkbox for saving the login-information this popupwindows pops up again and Outlook 2007 doesn't download the E-Mails from Mail2web.
I used Outlook at my Laptop and at my Home-PC and on both Computers I have the same problems since ~2009/07/30.
And: I am not in a coporate environment or something.
So no solution yet. I hope you have further information.

Hi markus.klann
Could you set up your Outlook mail profile again and let us know whether this prompting issue continues?
