What is this SORBS BS? Please help.
I use mail2web to push email to my iphone. I have 3 email addresses, each from a different domain auto-forwarded to my mail2web email account, which gets sent to my phone.
Today, my personal domain's email was blocked and could not be forwarded to mail2web. I missed critical work emails due to this.
I followed the instructions on the blocked email over 5 hours ago and the email is still blocked.
I went to the "SORBS" site - it just looks like some service that is hijacking access to email in the name of preventing spam.
Can someone help me resolve this? I will have to cancel mail2web as it is useless if I can't use it to access my work email (personal domain).

Actually i think its all set up by mail2web. some sort of messed up anti spam that they are involved with but of course messes up the way their whole system works.

Sorbs is one of a number of real-time blacklisting services that we subscribe to for indentifying spam and spamming servers and services.
In general it works quite well since many if not most email providers use these services they are kept most up to date on servers and services that should be cleared from the blacklist and have a good system for doing so. As well, because services like this exist, it is a top priority among email administrators to ensure that their servers and services do not get blacklisted, and to get white-listed should that slip.
That said, mail2web is working on a white-listing system that would allow our Mobile Email users to bypass particular email accounts and servers when checking against these real-time blacklists. Something that would be similar or better than that which is already offered with our Business Hosted Exchange services.
In the meantime, you could look into using our Email Aggregator system to pull mail from your existing mailboxes rather than forwarding. The process would not be as quick as it is to have them forwarded but it does bypass the real-time blacklisting systems.

Thank you for responding to my question and for explaining the situation. I am not very sophisticated with technology, but using SORBS could cause great inconvenience for your customers if domains from huge provider like Network Solutions are blocked. I look forward to hearing from you when the white listing system is working.
