I've been having trouble getting on the Internet in recent days because of Error 618: "port not specified." What does this mean?

Error 618
1.Restart your computer.
2.Exit any programs that use your modem such as fax software.
3.Hold down the keys Ctrl, Alt and Delete. If you can see "Rnaapp" running, click it to highlight it and select "End task". Try again.
4.If the above fails, consult a third-party technician or the modem's manufacturer.
