    Default anti-virus programs missing viruses

    How can you be sure an anti-virus program you download will actually stop viruses? What would cause an anti-virus program to miss a virus?

    No matter what anti-virus package you run, it may miss something. If your antivirus scanner is not updated it will be vulnerable to any computer virus or worm that has been released since your last update
