When I set my owa up, I was given choices as to how my aggregation should work. I chose to aggregate, but leave a copy of my messages on my server. This option works extremely well for me. I have recommended owa to business associates, but the options are no longer available.

These options are available when you set up a new email aggregation for any email account that is IMAP4 based. Due to the differences between POP3 accounts and IMAP4 accounts, these options are not available if your account is a POP3 only account.
Also, once you have configured your email aggregation for your IMAP4 account, if you want to change the behavior you must remove it and add it back in again.
