mail2web.com would like to make you aware that there is currently an issue affecting our ActiveSync services for mail2web Mobile and Mobile Pro plans.

This outage may affect any mobile devices you may have linked to your Exchange account with the exception of Blackberry devices. iPhones, iPads, Android and other popular mobile platforms will unfortunately see service disruptions.

Tonight starting a 10pm EST we will be performing a brief network maintenance to our network. The maintenance is scheduled to last approximately 30 minutes which time clients can expect to see intermittent outages to their services.

Starting at 11PM EST we will be performing maintenance for a 1 hour window.

During this time POP and Exchange email services along with our main web sites will experience a brief outage

Tonight starting at 6PM EST we will begin applying Microsoft patches to Windows shared email servers in our environment. You can expect a brief disruption of service while your server is being rebooted.

We will be performing maintenance to our network from 11 PM EDT on September 17th until 5 AM EDT September 18th. During this you may notice intermittent outages to your Classic services, including Hosted Exchange, as well as our main web sites.

Security Response has confirmed reports of a worm spreading through email under the subject “Here you have”. The mail to the unsuspecting recipient claims to be providing a document available through a URL. The URL is spoofed and actually points to a malicious binary being hosted on a different server.

In this instance, the actual file downloaded would be named ‘PDF_Document21_025542010_pdf.scr’ and is housed on the domain ‘members.multimania.co.uk’. This file is a minor variation of W32.Imsolk.A@mm. The main characteristics of the worm’s functionality are as follows:
• Spread through mapped drives through autorun
• Spread through email by taking contacts from the address book
• Spread through instant messenger
• Disables various security related programs

Symantec users will be protected from this threat under the name “Trojan Horse”, if virus definitions version 20100909.023 or later are applied. Additionally, products that support Download Insight functionality will trigger on the attempted download.

We will be performing some maintenance on our network on Friday evening starting at 11PM EDT. The scheduled window for this maintenance is approximately 2 hours. We do not foresee that this work will have any impact on our customers services. The only effect that this maintenance will have on our customers is that our phone lines will be down during this period.
