How can I display my online presense in SharePoint

To view a user's online presence in Windows SharePoint Services, the following are required: 

   * Microsoft Office 2003
   * Windows Messenger 4.6 or later, or MSN Messenger 4.6 or later

When creating users, you must enter their correct .NET Passport registered email address, hotmail.com address or msn.com address.

If you have created the user like this and you meet the above minimum requirements, you will be able to view the user's online Messenger status from your SharePoint site.
