Toronto, Ontario --- January 25, 2007
mail2web.com, a global provider of Microsoft Exchange® and brand of SoftCom Technology Consulting Inc., announced today the availability of Microsoft Outlook 2007 in 8 languages. Existing customers with plans that include Microsoft Outlook 2003 are automatically entitled to a free upgrade of this industry leading, messaging application.
As the provider of the world’s most popular email retrieval service for over 10 years, mail2web.com has always provided a broad support for languages, supporting 16 languages with its flagship product. Language support for Hosted Exchange customers includes English, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Korean. mail2web.com will provide all remaining languages as soon as Microsoft makes them available.
“We are committed to the Exchange platform and will be providing our customers the latest developments as they are released and supported by Microsoft,” said Tony Yustein, CEO of SoftCom Technology Consulting Inc. “Current Microsoft product roadmaps indicate that the provisioning platform for Exchange 2007 server will be available sometime in Q2 of 2007 and of course we will be making this development available to our customers shortly after.
Users of the popular desktop email application, Microsoft Outlook, will see some significant feature upgrades with the 2007 release. Faster local search capabilities, improved scheduling capabilities, integration of tasks into the calendar component, support for RSS feeds and number of other improved productivity features are part of this upgrade.
“Most of the great end-user updates delivered with the Exchange 2007 platform, like the Calendar Overlay mode that allows you to view and navigate multiple calendars at once, can be realized by upgrading to Outlook 2007,” said Tim Attwood, Product Manager at SoftCom Technology Consulting Inc. “However we recognize that not everyone needs this additional functionality or meets the slightly increased system requirements this upgrade requires. For that reason we will be offering our customers the choice of both releases until further notice.”
mail2web.com, a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner, will be working closely with Microsoft in the coming months to provide the latest enhancements to its Exchange platform as well as some integrated on-demand business services based on the SharePoint platform.
